Prince George Aquatic Centre

Located in Prince George, BC’s “northern capital”, this facility, with its 8 lane 52 metre competition pool, allows the City to host a variety of regional, provincial, and national FINA compliant swim and dive events. The 2 movable bulkheads, variable depth floor, 1m to 10m dive tower with sparger and surface rippler will allow for up to 3 different events, training and programming to run consecutively in the single 50m tank.

For non-competitive swimmers and families there is a wide variety of leisure and wellness activities. Waves crashing into theĀ  breakwater, rapid river, and bubbling pools all bring the feel of the Westcoast to Prince George. Excitement abounds, shrieks are inevitable, enjoyment is guaranteed – whatever age one might be.

VDA was Prime Consultant for this project.

Events held at this facility bring people in from around BC and across Canada and include:

  • 1991 BC Special Olympics
  • 2001 BC Short Course AAA Swimming Championships
  • 2001 BC Special Olympics
  • 2002 BC Seniors Games
  • 2003 BC Summer Diving Championships
  • 2007 BC Summer Swim Championships
  • 2008 BC Seniors Games
  • The Prince George Aquatic Centre is pleased to be the synchronized swimming venue for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
